FOYER

At LRI we dispel the notion that the center hall or entryway is merely an access into the more functional rooms of the home. We see it as a gateway that gives you a preview of things to come. It sets the precedent for the rest of the home. Linda Ruderman has mastered the art of creating the perfect entryway. Whether it is for a formal home, which merits ornate chandeliers, high style furnishings and decorative window treatments, or a more rustic home, the ambiance captures you the moment you step in. The entrance into your home should give you a sense of things to come without giving away the little nuances to follow. At LRI we take first impressions very seriously.

LIVING ROOM

The traditional living room defines who resides in the home. It tells of your zest of life, and of what you deem necessary for a pleasing lifestyle. The living room should show your aesthetic preferences and individuality of taste when you entertain, yet give your guests a sense of family and belonging. Here you will view different aspects of decorating this room and the arrangement of your furniture and collections to accommodate social groups. We will incorporate the new and the old to create a sense of balance where you and your guests will feel comfortable in the formality of this room.

DINING ROOM

Since around 1840, dining has become a social activity. Having a well-defined dining room has become an important measure of status and gentility. A lot goes into making this room comfortable and elegant enough for family meals on special occasions. It should be the type of room where time can slip away as your guests converse leisurely over coffee, dessert and treasured family heirlooms acquired over a period of time.

LIBRARY

In France by the middle of the 17th century, the library had become a recognized feature in private residences. Traditionally masculine rooms, libraries and studies have developed to store not only a well-read gentleman’s books, but also artifacts acquired from his travels. The general decoration of the library should be of such character as to form a background or setting for the books, rather than to distract attention from them. Rich color values, wood paneling, and large tables are well adapted to the library.

KITCHEN

The kitchen has always been the heart of the home. The home functions around the kitchen, and it has become a point of congregation and the center of activity. Whether you are creating a masterpiece for a formal dinner, playing the role of a harried parent, or are entertaining informally, the kitchen has to support many functions. At LRI we have designed kitchens with function and form in mind. We have incorporated the style of the home and create the kitchen to support your needs. We are versatile in every style, be it a sleek modern loft, a roomy French provincial or an open Southwest style setting.

MASTER BEDROOM SUITE

The bedroom plays a more intimate and varied role in our lives than any other room in the home. It is not just a place in which to sleep, it is a private territory where we need to feel at ease with ourselves, and unwind from the day’s work. It is a room to escape to and forget about the outside world. For today’s traditional-style bedroom there are a myriad of options. There are certain elements common to all bedrooms, no matter how big or small, but the atmosphere should always reflect its mood. At LRI we create the perfect harmony of this room by using soothing colors, fabrics, art, furnishings and accessories which will make this room your private retreat.

BATHROOM

Bathrooms can and should be more than utilitarian necessities. Whether simple, elegant or nostalgic the options for this room have dramatically increased over the years. Elaborate powder rooms, His-and-Her-baths, and private dressing areas have now become luxurious, stylish spaces with character and charm. The inspirations for these rooms are usually based on the interiors of the rooms contiguous to them. These can be delightful, whimsical and fun. However, smart design solutions and effective organization are keys to their success.
